Project List — Bristle Substrate Elver Pass
|
1) Dean Burn weir—impassable to elvers before the project. |
2) Initial design drawing produced showing the proposed vertical bristle board elver pass in situ. Projected water levels are also shown over the Q95 to Q10 range of exceedance flows. |
3) Pictures of the finished installation. The splitter box mounted on the sidewall serves to distribute the irrigation flow, in this case provided by a RAM pump. This type of pump does not require an external power supply, instead working from the siphon effect of the existing head at the site. A collection vessel can be attached to the upstream discharge pipe, if required, to allow for population monitoring assessments. |
